First of all, we congratulate all authors who got their papers accepted. Secondly, we would like to encourage those who did not get their papers accepted to consider participating in ISMIR 2019 in other ways.

With the paper notification, we have conducted a major update to the website, adding a lot of practical information that will assist you in arranging and planning for your ISMIR 2019 attendance.

To highlight a few important parts of this:

Registration
Our registration form will be released no later than the first week of July. In the meantime, registration rates, timelines and registration rules are available here. To facilitate broad participation, note that we pushed down student registration rates considerably in comparison to past years, and that we also will have a long early registration interval, such that people can plan and budget while also being able to have a Summer break. If you need a visa to travel to The Netherlands, you are required to arrange this by yourself; if you need an invitation letter, you will be able to indicate this in the registration form.

Financial support
If you need financial support, the various grants that will be offered for ISMIR 2019 are listed here. As a student author, you can apply right away (and no later than June 28) for the Student Author Grant. Application forms for the WiMIR and Community Grants will follow no later than mid-June.

Alternative means of participation
Beyond presenting full papers in the scientific program, there are various other ways to actively participate:

by submitting a late-breaking/demo contribution. The call for this will be published no later than the beginning of July.

by participating in one of the satellite events of ISMIR 2019.

Variations on ISMIR
Please note we also still accept proposals for the Variations on ISMIR. Please submit your musical concept no later than June 14 to the Music chairs!

Fri, 07 Jun 2019 00:58:08 +0000 Cynthia Liem 48 at https://ismir2019.ewi.tudelft.nl https://ismir2019.ewi.tudelft.nl/?q=arranging-attendance#comments Crowdsourcing 'ISMIR for Dummies' https://ismir2019.ewi.tudelft.nl/?q=node/9

One of the ambitions for ISMIR 2019 is making newcomers to the community feel welcomed.
